QLD UNDER THE WEATHER

Monday 8 March 2010

Victoria have the slight advantage in points and weather forecast as they go head-to-head with Queensland for the right to host the 2009-10 Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield final.

The XXXX GOLD Bulls must win outright against WA to give themselves a chance of overtaking Victoria, whose three-point lead means first innings is not enough for Queensland.

The rain which affected the game against SA last week continues to hang around in Brisbane, with more forecast for each day of the WA clash.

Wednesday’s forecast is for showers developing and possible thunder, showers are forecast for Thursday, and then Friday and Saturday are expected to see a few showers.

In contrast, Victoria has isolated showers forecast for the opening day of their clash with Tasmania, with morning cloud for Day 2, and sunny conditions predicted for the last two days.

The bonus for Queensland is that the leaden skies and wet ground is likely to make for another ‘result’ pitch.

The Bulls have won all four of their home matches this season at the Gabba.
